Yi-Lai Industry Berhad was incorporated in 1987.
Yi-Lai was registered as the proprietor of the trademark "ALPHA TILES" as from 28 November 1991. Alpha Tiles began production of its first Italian tile series in November 1991 & was the first in Malaysia to offer Slate Effect Homogenous Tiles.
The Group set up the factory in the most opportune time as demand for ceramic tiles was high in the early 1990s. By the third year in its operation in 1992, the Group's business flourished and as a result the Group installed the second production line to meet the high demand.
Yi-Lai is one of the first few tiles manufacturers in the world to attain a technology breakthrough by launching the RUSTICO EMBOSSED SLATE EFFECT TILE (RESET) in 1996.

Yi-Lai was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act, 1965 on 6 June 2000 as a public company under the name Yi-Lai Berhad.
Alpha Tiles was chosen as the trusted brand for the award-winning developments in Subang Jaya Township in Selangor. That project won the International Real Estate Federation (Malaysian Chapter) Award of Distinction 2000 in the category of “Best Residential Development”.
In preparation for the public listing exercise, on 13 September 2001 Yi-Lai Bhd (incorporated on 6 June 2000) acquired the entire issued and paid-up share capital of the three subsidiaries, Yi-Lai Industry Bhd, Yi-Lai Trading Pte Ltd and Alpha Tiles Trading Sdn Bhd.
On 3 May 2002, Yi-Lai Bhd was successfully listed on the KLSE Main Board at an IPO price of RM1.10 and over the years it has grown to become one of the most established companies in the Asia Pacific region.
Our products are exported to Australia, Brunei, Belgium, India, Japan, Pakistan, New Zealand, Thailand, Taiwan, and others. Presently, YLI has six (6) production lines with a full capacity of approximately 8.9 million square meters per annum.

Yilai berhad was picked by OSK Research Sdn Bhd as one of the top 10 small-cap companies and published by OSK in the book of Top Malaysian Small-Cap Companies: 100 Hidden Jewels on 13 Apr 2005
As of 2006 the factory had about 700 employees and currently has seven production lines with production capacity of about 13,000,000m2 of ceramic, homogeneous and porcelain tiles annually.
In 2019, Yi-Lai Berhad successfully invented negative ion tiles under subsidiary company Talos Living Tiles, founded in 1990, is a new vision under Yi-Lai Berhad.
As of 2021, the name of the Company has been changed to YB Ventures Berhad with effect from 22 March 2021. Our manufacturing facility and office, sit on a plot of industrial land that extends for 141,000 square meters. Our production lines produce 11,000,000 square meters of tiles annually.
