{"id":20508,"date":"2020-07-29T02:39:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-29T02:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ybventures.com\/demo\/?p=20508"},"modified":"2026-06-10T03:18:47","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T03:18:47","slug":"businessman-au-yee-boon-emerges-as-second-biggest-shareholder-in-yi-lai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ybventures.com\/demo\/businessman-au-yee-boon-emerges-as-second-biggest-shareholder-in-yi-lai\/","title":{"rendered":"Businessman Au Yee Boon emerges as second biggest shareholder in Yi-Lai"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"20508\" class=\"elementor elementor-20508\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-29c6df0e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"29c6df0e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-40448446 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"40448446\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KUALA LUMPUR (July 28): Businessman Au Yee Boon has emerged as the second largest shareholder of Yi-Lai Bhd, after acquiring 7.68 million shares or a 5.29% stake in the ceramic and tile manufacturing company.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the purchase of the block of shares on July 24, Au now has a direct interest of 5.93% and an indirect interest of 8.63% in the company, Yi-Lai\u2019s bourse filing today showed. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total stake of 13.92% places him as the second biggest shareholder in the company behind Hampton Capital Pte Ltd, which held 27.17 million shares or a 18.72% equity interest as at July 23, according to\u00a0<em>Bloomberg<\/em>\u00a0data.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apart from that, Au\u2019s vehicle Techbase Solution Sdn Bhd has also emerge as a substantial shareholder of Yi-Lai, after buying 9.57 million shares or a 6.60% stake in the company on the same date.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au is the chief executive officer of Techbase Solution, a multi-level marketing business software provider. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au\u2019s spouse Lim Lee Wheng has also emerged as the substantial shareholder, as she is deemed to own an indirect interest of 11.9% and a direct stake of 2.03% in the company. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yi-Lai\u2019s share price closed unchanged at 90 sen today, valuing the company at RM130.58 million.
